Diabetes mellitus (DM) is an endocrine problem identified by elevated circulating blood glucose levels associated with deficiency in insulin production and insulin activity or both. DM is a major health burden in the present era. The diabetes clinical manifestations are 3 ‘Ps’- polyphagia, polyuria and polydipsia. Cancer is the major cause of mortality and morbidity worldwide. A number of clinical studies have explored diabetes and its causal relation with uncontrolled mitosis. Several studies have found that diabetic patients have higher chances to develop different types of cancers. A cancer patient may suffer from chronic or acute pain. Medicines exist to treat pain. Providing psychological support to cancer patients such as short-term psychotherapy and cognitive-behavioral therapy can help in relieving pain.
