Widespread poverty and starvation continue today after a substantial rise in per capita food supply. This has led to an emerging conceptualization of food security and mechanisms to achieve and sustain food security. At the same time climate change has multiplied the hunger and undernourished populations. These disasters have also adversely affected low-income people and their access to food. prepared by Concern Worldwide. As a result, it is of extreme concern about continuously changing world environment and exponential growth of the global population, thus the national debate on food security and sustainable agriculture at all levels of government has become blatant issues. One of the major environmental challenges in the world is how to satisfy current food requirements without undermining the ability of future generations to meet them. Agricultural production must be sufficient to feed us now and in the future. The current state of the agricultural technology will clearly not suffice to meet the production challenges that lie ahead of us. Food security is a must for all citizens, families, communities and nations. Greater investment, as well as policy changes in developing countries, could greatly increase food safety. Biotechnological capacity can only be underlined too quickly, with the production of harm and disease-resistant crops with long shell lives, a refined texture and flavors, increases in earnings per unit of land, time, tolerance for harmful soil and weather conditions, along with creation of jobs to reduce malnutrition and hunger. This work looks at lessons learned from the past and explores the future options in the field of food security for developing countries to leverage agricultural biotech.
