Single stool sample from 190 animals of two dairy farms and its surrounding villages of District Thoubal were examined for the presence of intestinal parasites. Of all the positive cases Neoascaris sp. alone was detected in 6.57%, Trichuris globosa, alone in 4.6%, Oesophagostome sp. alone in 12.50% and Paramphistome sp. alone in 50.45% and mixed infestation was observed in 25.65% animals. Female animals (84.24%) were more infected than male animals (65.90%).
