Dialysis is the most recent option for managing chronic renal failure in canines. Probiotic possesses many beneficial functions. Due to dysbiosis of gut microflora, renal failure progresses into the chronic stage. Enteric dialysis has been trending in humans, and veterinarians are very much impressed by the results of these modalities. P-cresol and indoxyl sulfate are gut-derived toxic and impart more effect on the kidney. Altering the gut microbiome can reduce poisonous waste materials and improve the glomerular filtration rate. Enteric dialysis can be used with any stage of kidney damage. No systemic review has been documented in canines with enteric dialysis. So the present study focused on probiotics and prebiotics in dogs with chronic renal failure.
